If there’s one thing I can call “my thing,” it’s probably photoshopping superimposed animal heads on human bodies. Jonquil’s new video for their single It’s My Part, produced and directed by Franklyn Banks (who also seems to have a thing for superimposed things), features the band wearing animal masks, angry lip syncing, and pizza typography. As a result, it’s making my head spin with triumphant joy; as if I we won some war that would dictate how socially acceptable it is to superimpose animal heads on your body on a regular basis.
Their new album, Point of Go, will be released on February 21st through Dovecote Records and March 5th through the Blessing Force collaborative. They’ll be doing an album launch show in London at Hoxton Square on February 29th for any of you squirrelheads (who are also Jonquil fans) out there.
